The hot dog vans are out and people spill out of the pubs, waving Union Jacks as hundreds of members of the Protestant Orange Order parade down the road, banging their giant Lambeg drums part of a re-enactment to commemorate the 100th Anniversary of the start of the Battle of the Somme in Woodvale Park on Belfast's Shankill Road. Parades marched from North, South, East and West Belfast today and met in Belfast City Centre for wreath laying. Thousands lined the streets to watch the parades. a few days before the Brexit referendum in June 2016.
